A duo of accreditations gives industry seal of safety approval to the British Motor Museum as it prepares to reopen its doors for events.
Warwickshire-based conferencing and event venue, the British Motor Museum, is preparing to reopen on Monday 17 May following the go-ahead by the Government, with two new industry accreditations and a team of experts in place to ensure delegate safety.
Keen to ensure everyone feels confident to attend events as restrictions lift, the British Motor Museum has been awarded Visit England’s ‘Good to Go' official UK mark and the Meeting Industry Association’s (MIA) AIM Secure accreditation. Both demonstrate the venue’s commitment to delivering a safe and enjoyable event experience for all delegates, with all its facilities and services having passed thorough quality assurance assessments.
In addition, the venue has also gone one step further and devised a Safe Spaces commitment to customer's, which outlines the steps which are in place to ensure the safety of staff and clients alike. Having hosted a number of meetings, shows, wakes and weddings over the past year, when Government guidance allowed, this commitment and the wider accreditations have already proven popular with organisers and the feedback has been extremely positive.
The venue, will now be back open for indoor events for up to 600 people, including corporate meetings, exhibitions and award ceremonies, and up to 30 guests for weddings and wakes, with further easing of restrictions and capacity limits expected from Monday 21 June.
Toby Batchelor, head of commerce at the British Motor Museum, said: “We’re incredibly excited to reopen our doors in line with the latest Government guidance and to start welcoming back delegates for live in-person events. Throughout lockdown, we’ve invested heavily in our team and internal policies to ensure that we’re leading from the front and reflecting the highest industry standards to offer a safe and enjoyable event experience.
“We have seen an increase in confidence from event organisers, with bookings already in place for clients keen to return and several enquiries for later in the year as the Covid-19 guidance allows. Our knowledgeable bookings team is on-hand to advise on any events and all the guidance, and with our accreditations we want to reassure that the safety of delegates at the British Motor Museum is paramount.”
Located on Banbury Road in Gaydon, the British Motor Museum boasts over 2,000sqm of internal conference and exhibition space, as well as 65 acres of landscaped grounds and three event arenas, offering a flexible and bespoke event experience for meetings, conferences, weddings, wakes and outdoor events – in the midst of the very best in British automotive heritage.
