“MG Motor UK celebrates the best in British automation at annual aftersales dealers conference ...

When MG Motor UK was looking to host its annual aftersales dealers conference, the search to secure a venue which championed the very best in British automation began.

Bringing together representatives across its 100-strong dealers network, including service managers, dealer principals and warranty controllers, MG's Aftersales Dealers Conference celebrates its country-wide successes and outlined expansion plans for the year ahead.

With a strong legacy in the industry as the UK’s fastest growing car manufacturer, MG was keen to hold the conference at a location, which was equally as iconic and also offered the heritage of the automotive sector. Another key requisite was that the venue had the capacity and capabilities for vehicles to be displayed in the designated event space, with MG scheduled to exhibit its 3, ZS EV and HS models on the day. A separate break out area was also required for partners and suppliers to exhibit during the conference.

Headquartered in Longbridge but employing over 100 staff nationwide, the venue also needed to be centrally located with quick and easy access to the motorway network with ample parking spaces, due to delegates attending from across the UK.

British Motor Museum was the perfect venue to meet this complex and detailed brief. Held in one of the venue’s main conference rooms, MG benefitted from a dedicated entrance with exclusive reception area, as well as a private refreshment space for partners and suppliers to exhibit. Direct vehicular access into the conference suite enabled cars to be successfully showcased, whilst the self contained space provided the flexibility for MG to transform the event area with their own branding.

Attendees were also able to take a complimentary tour of the venue’s various exhibits and view some of the best vehicles in British automotive history, whilst looking ahead to the future of car manufacturing.

Peter Litherland, technical, warranty and customer services controller at MG Motor UK, commented: “When sourcing a venue for our Annual Aftersales Dealers Conference, we wanted somewhere which connected to our core company ethos and demonstrated our pride of being part of British automotive history.

“The event surpassed all of our expectations. Not only did the venue offer the flexibility and capacity we were looking for, but we were also incredibly happy with the quality of the food and the events team continuously went above and beyond to ensure the day stood out. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the British Motor Museum to others – it really did deliver on each and every level.”

Lisa Locke, bookings manager at the British Motor Museum, added: “As a major player in the current British automotive market, it was an honour to welcome MG Motors UK to the British Motor Museum for its Annual Aftersales Dealers Conference. It is incredibly important to us that we celebrate the future of British automation, as well as preserving its rich history, so we were thrilled to be able to support MG.”
