What’s been happening in the Museum this Spring?
1. Herbert Austin’s Office
Taken from the Longbridge site back in 2021, we were thrilled to announce that on 7 March the reconstructed Herbert Austin’s Office was opened to the public. Complete with the original fixtures and fittings, it’s now on display in the Museum alongside the office of his contemporary and rival William Morris. Hopefully many of you attended our special Members preview evening.
2. Updates on the MGs
After taking on a significant loan from MG in December 2023, the first four of eight cars
have made their way through the Workshop: the 1995 MGF number 1, 2002 MG RDX60
concept, the MG TF GT and 1997 Mini Hot Rod. Some can even be seen in the Museum
The next few cars have made their way into the Workshop too, including some of the MG
PR prototypes.
3. Ford Collection
And just in time for February Half-Term the Museum saw a host of Fords arriving. Eight new Fords arrived on site and the will remain on display in the main entrance gallery for the next few months. There is more information in the Online Collections.
