Celebrate Father’s Day with a visit to the British Motor Museum when it hosts the Vintage Motor Cycle Club's Banbury Run on Sunday 16 June. Visitors can enjoy seeing the spectacle of 500 vintage and veteran motorcycles at this annual event. The Run is the biggest gathering of motorcycles and three-wheelers produced before 1931. Visitors will love taking in the sights, sounds and smells of these astonishing machines as they embark on the journey to Banbury and back!
The Museum also has plenty of gift ideas to spoil Fathers. Those looking for the ideal gift for an owner of a cherished classic car, can buy a Heritage Certificate. The Certificates are the official ‘Certified Copy of a Factory Record’ for a classic car showing the car’s specification as it left the production line. For more information visit britishmotormuseum.co.uk/archive/heritage-certificates
Alternatively, adopt a car from the Museum collections! From the Albion A1 8hp dog cart to the Wolseley 2200 (last of line), cars that form part of the Museum’s permanent collections are available to adopt. Look at the Museum’s Online Collections and choose the ‘adoptable’ filter. Adoptions cost between £25 & £100 and adopters get a digital adoption certificate and their name added to the car’s listing in the Online Collections.
