Successor to the HB Viva, the HC was launched in 1971 and production continued until 1979. Although very similar to the HB, the styling on the new model was more modern and the interior space was bigger.
The HC Viva was one of the fastest selling Vauxhall models in the UK with 100,000 selling in under 8 months. There were a total of 640,800 HC Viva’s produced until the model was discontinued in 1979.
This particular example, finished in Jamaica Yellow, is one of the last off the production line. The vinyl roof was available as an optional extra to the standard HC Viva at only £31.59.
