J12 M40
British Motor Museum
The Land Rover Wolf is a light military vehicle based on the Land Rover Defender introduced in 1994. The MoD designates the Wolf 110 as Truck Utility Medium (TUM) High Specification.
The Wolf had various engine modifications, reinforced rear axle, fibreglass roof, side-mounted spare wheel and a considerably modified and stronger chassis. All Wolf variants were 24 volts and had a roll cage and additional noise and heat insulation.
This TUM is one of the oldest surviving prototypes with many non-standard features, like the custom high roof hard top. The vehicle remained with Land Rover Engineering until its trial days had come to an end before being used by Chassis and Axle Engineering for data retrieval.
