Discovery II was launched in 1998 and featured improved the on-road dynamics whilst retaining its sector leading off-road capabilities.
With a larger, more rigid chassis, wider axles and new steering geometry and suspension design, the ride and handling were significantly improved. The option of active suspension reduced body roll and self levelling air suspension maintained vehicle height and enhanced the ride.
Discovery II was facelifted in 2003 and remained in production until 2005. This range-topping ES Premium model was the final Discovery II to leave the production line.
