J12 M40
British Motor Museum
The fourth generation Range Rover was unveiled in 2012 and was the first SUV with an all-aluminium monocoque. The new Range Rover was over 400kg lighter, giving it much better and smoother handling – especially when cornering.
Sleeker styling gave the Range Rover a fresh and modern look but retained the road presence and stature of its predecessors. Inside there was a wide range of fully selectable trim materials available to suit every taste.
Range Rover is a favourite of the Royal family and this car was owned by HRH the Duke of Cambridge. It was photographed as Prince William collected new mother, HRH the Duchess of Cambridge, together with new-born Prince George from St. Mary's Hospital, London in 2013.
