Celebrate the legendary workhorse, the Ford Transit van, which was first made back in 1965 and is still being made today!
A name which has become infamous as the classic light commercial work van, the Transit is one of the most popular commercial vehicles and we’re hosting the Ford Transit Van Club to mark this special occasion on Sunday 1 June.
The Ford Transit Van Club is inviting Transit owners to come along to celebrate 60 years of the Ford Transit, including bringing your own examples to display at this fantastic event! Find out how to book visitor tickets and exhibitor tickets below.
Your ticket won’t just gain you entry to the Ford Transit 60th Anniversary celebration, you’ll also be able to explore the National Metro & Mini Show supported by Peter James Insurance, which will also be happening on 1 June here at the British Motor Museum! This is the main event of the year for owners of Metros, classic Minis and Modern MINIs to come together and enjoy a great day out. To find out more about the National Metro & Mini Show, click here.
As if all of this wasn’t enough, your ticket comes with the added bonus of allowing you access to our Museum and Collection Centre, which collectively display over 400 historic British cars! The Museum is packed with some of the most important vehicles from years gone by, such as the first Land Rover known as ‘Huey’ and very first Mini ‘621 AOK’, and if you’re looking for something closer to home, check out the Ford Heritage Collection on display near the Museum entrance.
Please note that your Ford Transit 60th Anniversary tickets (including Member and Premium Member tickets) will also gain you access to the National Metro & Mini Show, and vice versa.
You can find out more about the National Metro & Mini Show here.
Book your tickets to enjoy the show and explore the Museum, too! Book in advance and SAVE, as tickets are just £17 per adult, £9 per child, £15 per concession. Tap the button below to book. Remember - your ticket gains you entry to the Ford Transit 60th Anniversary, the National Metro & Mini Show and the Museum & Collection Centre!
When booking your ticket, choose to donate your entry fee when prompted and in return we'll convert your ticket to an Annual Pass at no extra cost. You will also have the chance to Gift Aid your donation. Please be a Gift Aid visitor if you can, it makes a big difference to our charity. This can only be done at the time of booking.
Join the Transit vehicle exhibitors for just £12 and help us make a fantastic celebration display. This includes an entry pass to display a vehicle and gives admission for the driver and a passenger to the Ford Transit Celebration, the National Metro & Mini Show show, Museum and Collections Centre.
Be sure to secure your exhibitor tickets in advance as places are limited and likely to sell out quickly!
Gates will be open to Vehicle Exhibitors on the day at 7:30am. All display vehicles must be in place by 9:30am.
