Calling all creative, car-mad kids! Join us at the British Motor Museum for Brick Club: Hostile Habitats this January 2025; the third edition of our new Saturday Clubs for young people aged 7-11!
This month, get stuck into a range of exciting building projects at the Brick Club! Use bricks to build exciting new creations to solve a variety of problems. You’ll need all your creativity and ingenuity - are you up to the challenge?
Scientists and engineers have always been challenged to explore hostile habitats and remote, dangerous places to make new discoveries and rescue those in need. To do this, they have designed satellites, rovers and robots that help them to enter and document previously inaccessible places.
Taking inspiration from our collection and using our Lego We.Do software, our Brick Club will build and code vehicles to explore these hostile habitats and rescue unwary scientists from danger!
The cost is just £10 per child for each Saturday Club which includes admission to the Museum for 1 adult for the duration of the 1.5 hour session if they wish to stay on site. Grown ups, you won’t get bored - we have over 400 vehicles to explore and a lovely café!
No previous experience or specialist equipment is necessary - we’ll provide everything you need to join the fun! Older or younger siblings can be accepted on request.
There is a maximum of 15 participants per club.
Saturday Club sessions take place in our dedicated Learning Hub, which is a secure space with toilets nearby, and are run by members of our Learning Team who all hold Enhanced DBS checks.
A confirmation email and link to our Access Video and Visual Story will be sent to you via email before the session.
If you have any questions about this event, please contact learning@britishmotormuseum.co.uk or call 01926 895 237 (please note this number is not always staffed but please leave a message and someone will get back to you).
